Contribute to Courants

Each magazine is a collection of art and creative pieces that our contributors send us around a common theme. The theme for the next issue, which will come out early April, is “At Home.”

As long as it's relatively on-theme, you can submit whatever you want. Dig into your archives, or create something new. We’ll take it all: poem, drawing, ceramic bowl, film review, manifesto, recipe with a picture of the dish, collage, photo series, link to a song or a video (we'll print it as a QR code), fiction…

Side notes: You retain your rights to your work, Courants doesn't own anything. We're just here to share great art. Also, we want the magazine to be bilingual. You can submit your work in English or French, and we'll include a translation if it needs one. Lastly, the magazine is at this point funded by our readers and contributors. As a contributor, we'll give you a PDF of the magazine, as well as a 30% discount code to get the magazine or a subscription.

To be considered, your artwork(s) should be submitted as a PDF, JPGs (or a link if it's a song or video) via email at courantsmagazine@gmail.com. Include the title of the piece, and if you want, information about it and your social media or website. Do let us know if you're ok with us posting it on our instagram. We reserve 1-3 pages per submission, depending on the size. Send us your work before March 25th.

You may also send us one or two songs that inspire you or help you create, and we’ll include them in the issue's playlist.

The following theme will be "At the table." You may send us your work for this theme now too. The deadline is June 25th.
